Ella's Corner--Holiday Cookies

Every winter holiday season, on December 24, I mix, cut out, bake, and frost a tray full of cookies with my daughter. It’s a part of the holiday season that’s as important as a tree decked with ornaments and red, yellow and blue lights.
And every year for the past three years, we have used the same recipes. So I encourage you all to get in the holiday spirit and bake some cookies. And since Americans are said to consume 8,000 calories during the holiday season, why not get a head start?
When frosting, I find it’s best to plan out a design, which you can even do with a food marker. You can do snowflakes, Christmas trees, ornaments, Santa hats, and even Santa himself! Whatever the pattern, don’t forget to set some out for Santa! And Happy Holidays from here at the Flair and Keleanor Foundation!
