Rice Corner--Mental Health

Hello and welcome back to Rice Corner. I will be continuing my series so if you haven’t yet- please check out my previous articles- being healthy and exercise.

In this article I will focus on less of the physical health and now more of your mental health. Especially at this time of year, our brains can be very stressed and it’s hard to take some time and slow down and think of ourselves for a few minutes. In order to keep ourselves sane, we must participate in self-help. The best way for us to stay mentally healthy throughout the year but also now, is to maybe take a day to take a walk around a park, take a spa day, or just think about our thoughts. Staying mentally healthy is one of the most important and will automatically help your physical health. Keeping yourself calm and slowing down this holiday season will help you stay sane and may even help your body stay healthy. Changing your mindset can help. Maybe having a positive outlook on things instead of looking at things in a negative lens. Maybe working on not putting others down and instead work on being kind and helping others. An example is: I have a friend Magelinea always looked at things badly. So she didn’t have a healthy lifestyle. Then she began thinking positively and her life began to look up. Since then she is one of the most positive person I know. So please take Magelinea’s example and be mentally healthy by being kind.
